Indian government is in consultation with RBI and decided to launch the sovereign gold bond series IX by Monday official said by Reserve Bank of India (RBI).
Issue price Rs. 4786/gram, discount Rs.50/gram, issue opens on 10/01/2022 – 14/01/2022, Tenure for 8 years, Individuals & HUF can subscribe up-to 4 kg, 20 kg for trust and similar entities.
Government has decided to provide an discount of Rs. 50 / gram from the issue price to investors, who can apply online and made the payment through digital. Issue price of the sovereign gold bond scheme 2021-2022 is Rs. 4786/gram. Subscription is opening by Monday for 5 days (10/JAN/2022 to 14/JAN/2022) with settlement date is 18/JAN/2022 said by Ministry of Finance.
Sovereign gold bond will be sold on all the banks except small finance & payment banks, Stock holding corporation of India limited (SHCIL), post offices & stock exchanges (Bombay stock exchange limited & National stock exchange limited). Bond will be denominated as multiple of grams, by the basis of 1 gram. Tenor of bond is 8 years, (exit option after 5 years). Minimum investment is 1 gram, investor can able to subscribe up-to 4 kg for individuals, 4 kg for HUF & 20 kg for trust and similar entities. KYC process to be completed while subscribing the gold bond.
